For whom? For all persons studying at the Jagiellonian University (students and doctoral students)

How? Individually or in a team

What paths? Scientific or outreach and community engagement projects

How much funding? Up to PLN 50 thousand

What is the duration of projects? Up to 18 months

If: 

• you are a Jagiellonian University student or PhD student

• you are interested in such issues as: the sixth great extinction, great acceleration, human influence on the climate system, geoengineering, ecocide, climate debt, planetary turnaround, postanthropocentrism, the end of nature, "green technologies", sustainable development, de-development, space exploration and other challenges of the anthropocene era

• you have the energy to act and want to build the world you want to live in or do you know people who want to act with you

• you want to gain resources for scientific project, attend a scientific conference or you want to raise funds for research that will support you in writing your bachelor/master/doctoral thesis or publish a scientific paper

• or you feel better working in a team and you want to effectively raise people's awareness of the upcoming challenges of the anthropocene era, you want to learn to work in a team, manage your time and improve your communication skills...

Apply in the POB Anthropocene mini Talent Management call and start acting!

• you can apply for up to 50 thousand zlotys (gross), including a scholarship of 18 thousand zlotys (only for projects lasting 11 months or more)

• in the project you may finance, inter alia, participation in or organisation of conferences/exhibitions, library research/ study visits/scientific consultations, participation in or organisation of workshops/webinars/summer schools, field research/data analysis/software development, dissemination/awareness-raising programmes aimed at the wider public (e.g. secondary schools), scientific and dissemination publications, printing of promotional material, advertisements in the media, transcriptions of interviews, focus groups, translations

• you can act alone or in a team (e.g. informal group)

• you have a maximum of 18 months to implement the project

if you are not currently managing projects with funds from NCN, NCBiR, FNP, IDUB and you want to finance any of the above tasks:

• go to https://anthropocene.id.uj.edu.pl/strategia and find out what problems fall under the three POB Anthropocene domains

• select one of them and prepare a project

• check the dates of your application in the mini-grant programme / apply between the 8th of December, 2020 and the 18th of January, 2021

• define an action plan and a budget, as required by the regulations

• find a mentor among the Jagiellonian University's researchers who will agree to be your scientific supervisor and will log in at https://strefaid.uj.edu.pl/

• fill in the application form in electronic form available at https://strefaid.uj.edu.pl/ in accordance with the guidelines

• Wait for the results of the competition (the committee will assess the consistency of your project, its innovativeness, interdisciplinarity and international dimension). Planned date of announcement of the results: by the 22nd of February, 2021
